An unusually ornately designed French souvenir box, just as collectible back in the 19th century as they are today.

The unusual feature about this box is that it has an ornate rose and floral gold coloured oromlu swag across the glass on the front, in addition to the ormolu frame and ornate legs. The picture is of the Rocamadour Château, built on the rocky outcrops in the Medieval times and is in black and white and in good condition.

There is a tiny corner of glass missing at the front top left, very difficult to pick up and shielded and held firm by the ormolu frame fixings. There is a very slight wobble if pressed on top but the box is generally in good condition for its age and displays well. The red silk cushion is intact and also in good condtion. The hinge and the clasp work and fasten the box.

It measures 3" by 2.5" and just under 3" tall.
