In a beautiful soft red, a 19th century ironstone footed serving plate featuring two birds feasting on cherries straight from the tree. The church of the town of St Maurice, just outside Paris, is featured in the middle with the river Seine in front.
The plate shows signs of its age and use with glaze crazing and some staining, all of which adds to its authentic charm and would enhance any bird terre de fer collection.
Made by Jules Vieillard by the Bordeaux faience company, it was found in Paris and measures
