I am very happy to bring you an early transferware ironstone French ravier or side dish plate with the very sought after blue bird design. 
 
The bird and floral pattern has an almost flow blue appearance characteristic of the early techniques which would date it from the first half of the 1800s 
 
It has beautifully ornate 'handles' on each end, a blue bird and flowers design and is in good condition except for a minor chip on the underside of the rim. There is some age related patination.
 
The plate measures 10" by 6"
