A wonderful collectible French "dinette" a copy of a full size adult's ironstone diner service, made by the same manufacturers as the traditional full sized sets. Imagine the child's delight opening this as a gift!

 

This country design set, featuring hunting scenes, stags, dogs and horses and set is believed to be made by St Amand in the 1890s. The transferware pattern is in a lovely mid blue with the merest hint of green.

 

The set consists of; a tureen and lid, there is a chip and a glaze crack (that doesn't go through) on the lid and is 5" high and wide; six 'dinner' plates 4" in diameter with varied designs, two ravier side dishes measuring 3.5" long, these have a dog and a stag on them; an oval serving plate with two horse riders jumping a hedge which is 6.25" long; and a round serving plate 5.5" in diameter.

 

All have been played with and show traces of their age and use. The large tureen is for comparison
