A fabulous collectible matchstriker from the late 1800s to early 1900s from a French bar or bistro advertising Dubonnet. These were placed on the bar and matches were put in the top for customers to strike on the ridges.

Today, as well as being a beautifully decorative French antique, they are perfect for holding a small posy, a candle or maybe even picks for a French style apero.

This matchstriker is in good condition except for one chip at the top, a memory of its time in a bar! There are only small signs of wear from use over time. The base has a makers stamp, you can just about make out the word  'Paris'. The striker measures 3" tall and 4" diameter at the base.
