A beautiful French brayer book or Paroissien dating from 1893.
 
The cover is ivory coloured cellulose and embossed with initials, I believe AHV, surrounded by flowers, there is a clip for keeping the book shut and the pages are edged with gold.
 
Inside the edges of the pages have a lovely design around the edge, there is a religious illustration and the frontspiece dates 1893.
 
It measures 4" by 3"
