Dating back to the 1800s, these gorgeous stoneware bottles were used for the farm cider that has been produced for millennia throughout my home region of Normandy. They are now becoming harder to find so I am delighted to restock the Brocante with a few new arrivals.

They have a lovely mottled variance of colour that adds visual interest. No two are the same but all are beautiful. They can be displayed individually or as a collection, I usually group them in odd numbers. They sit well as a characterful neutral with other collections.

The first picture is taken of the bottle on the window sill of our 'Pressoir' or apple pressing barn, where cider was made, with a large barrel in the background.
