From rural Normandy, the land of milk, butter and cheese, a choice of two hand crafted spoons used for buttermaking many years ago.
 
Each is made to the particular specification of the dairy worker, usually made and used on their own farm. It fits the hand and has wear from the individual style of skimming and stirring.
 
The lighter one has a turned rounded handle and darker wood has a flat handle. They are 9.5" and 10" long respectively.
