Beautiful silk samples, with their original tags and wax seals. These would have been carried to the client's house by the Modiste or designer for her to choose in situ.
 
The silks have a lovely sheen and a slightly stiff texture, and are believed to date from the 19th century, they have been stored well and are clean.
 
The samples are all a lovely bright golden colour on varying shades of lighter backgrouds and are different sizes. There are some small holes which look like pin marks on the bottoms of the fabric, I have tried to capture them in the last photo.
 
The silks are tagged to a number in the pull down box so you can see which one you are buying.

Shipping will be combined if you add more than one. Shipping quoted is parcel post with tracking, these can be placed in an envelope but the delivery can sometimes take longer. Please put a note on your order if you'd like to amend the shipping
