I really can't say what enchanted me most about this water pitcher; the gorgeous Etruscan style rounded shape or the intricate transferware design.
 
This water ewer holds flowers perectly, as it has the narrower top to hold them in place with plenty of water to sustain. 
 
Did you notice the detailing on the handle? Not only attractive but prqactical to stop the full ewer slipping.
 
It was made by Longchamps Paris in the Mauresque design, stamped on the base with the maker's mark as well as an imprint reading "terre de fer', French ironstone.
 
It is the Mauresque design and dates from the late 19th century and stands 9" tall.
