A beautifully toned French compote from the early 1900s in creamy and lightly stained ironstone with a floral rosette in the centre and a delicate floral edging in sepia brown.
 
Marked Luneville on the base with a rather attractive stamp, it is useful for serving cakes or fruit as well as being very attractive to display. and stack. 
 
The plate is 9" wide and 4.5" tall.
