Asparagus season is so longed for in France that it is celebrated with beautiful l majolica asparagus plates with a three dimentional 'serving' of 7 stems of asparagus, which the actual asparagus is served on so any moisure can drain whilst leaving two spaces for the asparagus sauces either side.

The plates are stamped Longchamps, the manufacturer on the base and 'terre de fer' or ironstone. The plates have some crazing from age and use and are for sale as a set of 6
