These sweet baskets with leather straps were used at health spas for patients to take the prescribed 'cure' the amount of healing spa water. Each basket holds a glass with measures on the side and the spa's name. Each person had their own basket at the spa and carried them with the strap.
 
The larger basket, 4.5" tall, is from the famous Spa, Vichy. It is older and a deeper colour with the passage of time, the hinge side of the leather is missing but the closure is intact. There is wear to the leather.
 
The slightly smaller basket is 4" tall and a lighter colour, the leather is used but intact and is from the spa Chatel Guyon. there is an intitial (of the spa resident) in black paint on the glass.
