In a soft deep pink, this rare and desirable pair by Boulanger & co, both in a soft deep pink and adorned with birds on both sides. Found in Paris, this design and particularly these pieces  are very scarce and a wonderful addition to your collection.

The mustard tureen or 'moutardier' is very ornate with a bird sitting on a branch on both sides and a fluing bird on the saucer. There are two small old chips on the edge of the saucer. The ornate lid is intact and the details on the handles are hand painted. It stands just under 4" high and the saucer 5.5" long.

On the base is the maker's detailed stamp, Boulanger at Choisy le Roi which dates it from 1878. This is the same make as the egg cup, which is too small to be stamped.

The egg cup is a diablo design, with a smaller and larger end to match the size of egg. Each size has a sweet bird.

It has slight signs of age and a feint hairline glaze crack. It measures 2.25" high.
