This is a well used and loved large water pitcher in the classic beautiful blue Jardinière floral pattern by U&C Sarreguemines. 
 
It is the larger taller size and has the lovely old Jardinere stamp on the base, dating it from the 19th century. I said it has been well used, there are no cracks but some chips around the lip and the base, clearly shown, whrere it has repeatedly been filled with hot water from the boiler or the stove and brought up to the lady of the house.
 
This sense of history made me decide to bring it to you as part of the Quintessentially French collection. The chips around the spout are pretty much hidden when filled with flowers, for which use it is perfect!
