Walter Scott's worl traslated into French and dated in the 1830s, these three are part of a collected works from a country house library,
They have leather bound spines with gilded tooling which has a lovely amount of wear to display beautifully in an antique inspired setting.
The covers are a green marbling style which has worn from much reading over the almost 200 years. The pages are foxed and especially the pictures, which are covered with a tissue flap in the old style. There are several pictures throughout the books, but at least one is missing.
There is damage to the books from age and reading, I have shown a larger area of damage which was aparant, but have not been through page by page.
They measure 8.5" by 5"
