A charming trio of epicerie pots from the wonderful stoneware potteries of Saint Uze.
They are antique, the age is tangible when held and they are clearly hand made not mass produced, especially as they are not perfectly round as can be seen from the bird's eye picture. These perfect imperfections make these unique pieces.
All are signed on the base with the St Uze stamp to confirm their quality.
The set of three were designed for Farine (flour) Thé (tea) and Poivre (pepper) and range from just over 7", 6" and 4.5" with lids. The lid on the pepper pot is a snugger fit than the others, this may be as a result of the artisinal manufacture or maybe it was from the now missing smaller Epices pot, never the less it has the same design as the rest of the set amd sits comfortably with the set. The tea lid has a small chip on the underside (pictured).
