Such a beautiful romantic moment captured in time. Bathed in pink light, a couple glide under a bridge over a lake in a boat, surrouded by trees in an idyllic setting. It looks like a country mansion's estate, with the grounds in the Regency picturesque style.

It has all the characteristics of the Romantic movement,  from the late 18th to early 19th century; the dreamy quality of the soft light, the gentle colours and  brushstrokes capturing the emotion of the scene , the Romantic fascination with nature's sublime beauty.
 
It is believed that the painting is about 200 years old. It shows its age, it has been repaired, see the back view, and there are age crackles to the oil paint, areas of wear, the video was taken in front of a window to show the wear, this is not so apparent on the wall.
 
The painting is a larger size, 21.5" by 18" and makes a lovely backdrop to a collection or for vignettes as well as being a striling image as part of a gallery wall.
There are marks on the edge of the painting where it was framed and the painting could benefit from a clean, but I have left the choice to you.
