It is made for a young child and is in heavyweight Wedgwood china with a flat base for stability. Made in England and stamped on the reverse.
 
There is some glaze crazing from use  but the colours remain bright and charming and the bowl useable. 
 
The bowl measrures 6.5" diameter adn is stamped with the Wedgwood mark of authenticity on the base
